Personal Reflection #2


Future Centre Life
 

The Future center is a non-profit organization. It’s a place that it been opened for individual people with different disabilities. The facilities they ben faced a lot of challenges with them until they handle now. The center have a lot of deferent disabled kids and these children need lots of care and people around them to teach them and to help them so by time they could join any of regular schools by time. Otherwise those kids could join any of sports and Olympics for special needs. Their goals are to make the number of students with disabilities and the place bigger with deferent activities to give the kids a better life. Although the center is working on becoming the leading with best they can in practices. So the children with special needs when they joined the Olympics some of them they could be good with sports like Archery, shooting, wheelchair basketball, etc. Finally the future center they have achieved teams of specialists and student as the internet site. For example one of my relatives he is an Autism and before he joined the Centre he had lots of problems like of how the family they could give him a lot of opportunities. But when they heard of the future Centre they signed him up and a lot of things changed in his life and he became better and his life became better with the opportunities he is having and classes he take like drawing and sports swimming classes.

3. From the internet, in relation to Cultural Diversity, find a picture and a definition of “Melting pot” and “Garden salad”.

 

·         Melting pot is a metaphor for a heterogeneous society becoming more homogeneous, the different elements "melting together" into a harmonious whole with a common culture.

·         Garden salad it means that the integration of the many different cultures are combined/mixed like a salad.

 

 

 
 

4. Britain today is one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world. Look on the internet and find out which nationalities make up the “ethnic minority population of over 4 million”.

5. Australia is another of the most culturally diverse countries in the world. The University of Melbourne has a policy on Cultural Diversity. Read the two paragraphs and summarize them in your own words.

 
·         Melbourne's university states that in order to rise above & create social harmony, they must maintain, value, respect, and support the cultural diversities by creating an environment where students & staff can exchange different traditions & cultures.
